A heart-wrenching case has come to light in Tehra Tehri village located in Rahatgarh police station area of the district. Here a 70 year old man murdered his 65 year old wife by slitting her neck. After the murder, the head was separated from the body, hair was tied with a rope and it was stuck in a tree about 600 meters away from the house. The incident occurred on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday.
When the relatives woke up in the morning and saw the decapitated body of the old woman in the hallway of the house, they were shocked. The incident was immediately informed to the police. Police reached the spot, prepared Panchnama and started searching. The head was seen between the trunk of a tree on Jwaladevi Mandir Road, about 600 meters away from the village.
Police said that the deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Sadarani Sahu. Whereas the accused husband, 70-year-old Khubchand Sahu, is absconding after the incident. Which is being searched. The reason for this murder is not yet known. Police say that the elderly couple has two sons. Who were sleeping inside with their family at night. When the sons woke up in the morning, they saw their mother’s chopped torso lying in the hallway.
Bhajans were performed at night
He told that on Tuesday night his parents had organized bhajans at home. The bhajan was organized till late night. Late in the night around 1.30 am, the parents stayed with them, but when they woke up in the morning, they found the blood soaked body of Maa Sadarani.
Police say that so far it appears that Khubchand has murdered his wife Sadarani by slitting her neck with a sickle. He is absconding after this incident and is being searched for. Information is being collected regarding this and search is being done at possible places. Police are searching in the forest around Tehra-Tehri village.
