After the controversy regarding adulteration in the laddus of Tirupati Balaji temple, now the eyes of the devotees are fixed on the Prasad of many temples. Institutions and trusts of famous temples of the country are now taking caution in this matter. Amidst all this, questions are now being raised about the quality of the Prasad of Baba Balak Nath Temple located in the famous Siddha Peeth Deotsiddh of Hamirpur, Himachal.

In fact, questions are being raised on the quality of rot (prasad) offered in the Baba Balak Nath temple located in the famous Siddha Peeth Deotsiddh of Himachal Pradesh because Kandaghat Lab has released its report regarding this. The rot (prasad) samples tested by the lab have revealed shocking results. In the test report, the quality of the rot did not meet the health standards and it was not considered safe to eat.

Earlier, after the controversy over the irregularities in the Prasad (laddus) of Tirupati Balaji temple in September, people had also raised questions on the quality of Prasad offered in other temples. In view of this, in October, the team of Food and Safety Department had inspected the temple canteen and other shops and collected samples of rot. In the investigation report, rot samples have been found to be failed, which has created a challenge for the temple administration.

Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety Department, Anil Sharma said that recently a case of adulteration in Prasad (Laddus) had come to light in Tirupati Balaji Temple. On the same lines, we had collected samples from some temples for testing. We had collected samples for the quality of rot (prasad) from the temple located in Deyotsiddh. The report of Rot (Prasad) has come shocking and it has failed on health standards. A case of rancidity has come to light in it. Will take further action in this. We would request other people who make rot in the temple to pay attention to this. The department will take action on this.

Let us tell you that in September, it was revealed that ghee made from animal fat and fish oil was used in the prasad given to the devotees in the form of laddus in the world famous Tirupati Balaji temple of Andhra Pradesh. The revelation of Prasad made from adulterated ghee had deeply hurt the faith of crores of devotees across the country. After this matter came to light, sages and saints across the country started demanding to free the temples from government control.
