New Delhi <\/strong>
Delhi on Friday announced a 24-member squad for the Ranji Trophy cricket match against Hyderabad starting October 15, with Ayush Badoni appointed as captain and Yash Dhull as vice-captain. The selection committee of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has also included Nitish Rana in the team. Rana is back in the Delhi team after playing for some time with Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n

“The selectors have chosen 24 players because they feel that this always keeps a larger pool available for selection in each match,” DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma told PTI. When we play home matches in Delhi, we will reduce it to 15. On Rana’s return, Sharma said, “He is an experienced player and the selectors wanted to test him. We are expecting Rishabh Pant to play in the next match.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the meeting, selectors Yashpal Singh, K. Along with Bhaskar Pillai and Manu Nair, head coach Sarandeep Singh, CAC member Surinder Khanna and DDCA officials Ashok Sharma (secretary) and Amit Grover (joint secretary) also attended.<\/p>\n
