Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today paid a courtesy call on Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi. In the meeting, many important topics like expansion of Bilaspur airport, development of defense sector, organization of army recruitment rallies in the entire state and naming of naval ships were discussed fruitfully. On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh were also present.<\/p>\n
with the Chief Minister<\/strong> Underlined that there is special enthusiasm among the youth in Chhattisgarh towards joining the army. He said that the youth of the state have discipline, physical ability and a sense of patriotism. Mention of glorious traditions also<\/h3>\n
In the meeting, the Chief Minister also mentioned the cultural identity and glorious traditions of the state. He said that the rivers of Chhattisgarh \u2013 Indravati, Mahanadi \u2013 are not just water sources, but the soul of the state. He suggested that whenever the Defense Ministry launches new naval vessels or ships, some of them should be named after rivers and regions of Chhattisgarh, such as INS Indravati, INS Mahanadi or INS Bastar. This will not only be symbolically beautiful, but will also give pride to the cultural identity of Chhattisgarh at the national and international level.<\/p>\n
Defense and electronics manufacturing under new industrial policy<\/h3>\n
On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai informed about the plan to encourage defense and electronics manufacturing under the new industrial policy of the state government.
