Ujjain Nagar Puja\n<\/p>\n

On the Mahashtami of Sharadiya Navratri in Ujjain, city worship was done today for happiness and prosperity. Collector Roshan Kumar Singh started the puja by offering liquor to Mata Mahamaya and Mahalaya at twenty -four pillars at 7.30 am. After this, a team of government officials and Kotwars left in more than 40 goddesses and Bhairav \u200b\u200btemples located in different places of the city with drums.<\/p>\n

During this time, a edge of liquor is being installed on the 27 km long Nagar Puja Marg of the city. Along with this, Pudi, Bhaji, wheat and gram will be offered. It is believed that by doing this, the unquenchable souls present in the city are satisfied and blesses the happiness and prosperity. The tradition of city worship in Dhardhani Ujjain has been going on since the era of Emperor Vikramaditya.<\/p>\n

Government has been worshiping city since independence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Later, King Maharaja has been discharging this tradition. After independence, city worship is being done by the government. Today, the city worship started from the twenty -four pillar Mata Temple. It is believed that this is the main gate of ancient Ujjain. Mata Mahamaya and Mahalaya are enthroned on both sides of this gate. That is why this morning, the first collector Roshan Kumar Singh, SP Pradeep Sharma started worshiping from this. After this, worship is being done in other goddesses and Bhairav \u200b\u200btemples of the city.<\/p>\n

It is believed that Goddess Bhairav \u200b\u200betc. are protecting this city since time immemorial. With their blessings, the priests are happy and prosperous. The grace of the gods should always remain always, so every year there is a tradition of worshiping Goddess Bhairav \u200b\u200bby the king on the Mahashtami of Sharadiya Navratri. This morning, the city worship started in the morning from the twenty -four pillars. From morning to evening, the process of worshiping for about 12 hours goes on. At 8 o’clock in the night, the city worship is done with worship at Handi Fod Bhairav \u200b\u200bTemple near Garhkalaika Mata Temple.<\/p>\n

City worship runs for 14 hours<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This city worship done in Ujjain is completed in about 14 hours. At 7.30 in the morning, this puja starts by offering the liquor of Goddess Mahamaya and Mahalaya. This puja ends at around 7.30 pm while worshiping in 40 temples. Under the city worship, the goddess and Bhairav \u200b\u200bare offered liquor in temples and a flag is offered in the temple of Hanuman temples. After worshiping in 40 different temples, the team of government officials and employees reaches Handi Fod Bhairav \u200b\u200bTemple.<\/p>\n

Here this puja ends and a pot filled with alcohol is broken. For this worship, the Excise Department gives 31 bottles of liquor on its behalf.
