The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has amended the rules for the multi-day domestic tournaments of the upcoming session and implemented the new facility of ‘substantial players of serious injuries’. The move has been taken after Rishabh Pant and Chris Woakes injuries in the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy Test series, which was recently equal to 2\u20132 between India and England.<\/p>\n

The new rule issued to the state cricket associations states that if a player suffers a serious injury during the match, he can be given the facility of a substantial player. The injury for this should be engaged during the game and within the sports field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What is in the rule<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the rule, the injury should be caused by an external shock and as a result of fracture, dark cut or dislocation (bone slip). The player will be unavailable for the remaining match due to this injury. In addition, the selected substitute player will have to play as a replacement similar to a serious injury player.<\/p>\n
