Case of beating passenger in Somnath Express\n<\/p>\n

A embarrassing incident in Bali 11463 Somnath Express, walking from Jabalpur to Veraval, has raised serious questions on the Indian Railway system. It was so expensive by the railway passenger to complain to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav that he had to become a victim of illegal vendors’ hooliganism in the train itself. The incident is being reported between Ratlam and Vadodara under Vadodara Railway Division. At present, a letter has been written by Jabalpur division of West Central Railway to Vadodara Railway Division to register an FIR in the whole matter.<\/p>\n

In fact, the matter started when a passenger tagged the railway minister with his PNR number on X and complained about the poor quality of food and overcharging on the water bottle. The passenger clearly wrote that the vendors are charging more than the fixed price. The quality of catering is also very poor. After some time, when the passenger was sitting on his seat, then three to four vendors wearing the same clothes reached there and started fighting with the passenger without any conversation. Then other present passengers in the train made a video of it.<\/p>\n

Got viral on X<\/h3>\n

The video of this attack is now becoming increasingly viral on social media. In which it can be clearly seen that all the attacker vendors are in a uniform and are beating the non -scared passenger. The video was shared by a user named woman Divya Gaurav Tripathi on X and wrote that @railwayseva people beat up the passengers with their goons. @Ashwinivaishnaw ji has made the railway’s matia lent. He asked the Railway Ministry whether any action has been taken on the goons seen in the video or not.<\/p>\n

Action will be taken against vendors<\/h3>\n

After the incident came to light, the Jabalpur division of West Central Railway (WCR) and IRCTC immediately wrote a letter to Vadodara division asking to identify the concerned vendors and file an FIR against them. According to the railway, vendors will be identified and blacklisted and further investigation is also going on. This incident has highlighted the arbitrariness of the corruption prevailing in the railway, especially catering vendors and the inaction of the officials. If an ordinary passenger cannot complain, then how can transparency be expected in the railway.<\/p>\n

Questions raised on security<\/h3>\n

Now the question is not only about the arrest of the vendors but the accountability of the railway. If a complaint with the Railway Minister is the safety of the passenger, then it is a serious failure of the system.
