PM Modi’s strong welcome in Namibia\n<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Namibia in South Africa in the fifth and final phase of his foreign tour on Wednesday. Where Namibia President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Nadaitwah strongly welcomed PM Modi at the State House in the capital Windhok. The two leaders greeted each other by joining hands. During this, PM Modi was given a salute of 21 guns. He was also given a guard of honor.<\/p>\n
PM Modi was welcomed with traditional dance at Windhok Airport. During this, the PM also played drums with local artists. The PM met the Indian community in Windhock, the capital of Namibia. A large number of Indians and Indian people arrived to meet him in the hotel where PM Modi stayed in the hotel. During this time, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the people.<\/p>\n

This is the first visit of Prime Minister Modi in Namibia and the third visit of any Indian Prime Minister. After 27 years, an Indian Prime Minister is on a tour of Namibia. Earlier in 1998, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and VP Singh and Rajiv Gandhi attended the independence ceremony of Namibia in 1990.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone on a state visit to Namibia President Netumbo Nandi-Nadaitwah. There is a possibility of cooperation on many important areas in bilateral talks between the two leaders. Diamond, essential minerals and uranium supply are likely to be discussed between PM Modi and President Netumbo Nandi. Modi will also address the Parliament of Namibia.<\/p>\n
