The PMO said that the IMF on Friday (May 9, 2025) has approved an amount of $ 1 billion to Pakistan immediately under the current extended fund facility.<\/p>\n<p>According to PMO&#8217;s statement, &#8220;Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the IMF approved a $ 1 billion installment for Pakistan and failing India&#8217;s arbitrariness against it.&#8221; The statement said that Pakistan&#8217;s economic situation has improved and the country is on the path of development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>India expressed strong opposition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>India on Friday opposed the proposal of IMF to give a new loan of US $ 2.3 billion to US $ 2.3 billion and said that this money could be misused to finance the state -sponsored border terrorism. India kept distance from voting in an important meeting of the International Monetary Fund on this issue.<\/p>\n<p>The results of the voting remained in favor of Pakistan and got a loan from the IMF. The Finance Ministry said in its statement that this amount received to Pakistan can be used for the finance of state sponsored border terrorism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;IMF money is going to terrorist organizations&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>India also reiterated that financial assistance to Pakistan indirectly helps its intelligence agencies and terrorist organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, who have been carrying out attacks on India.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pakistan&#8217;s economy dependent on IMF<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Explain that Pakistan&#8217;s economy, which is struggling with Kangali, is badly dependent on IMF aid.
