The central government has approved the demand for a long -standing caste census. The reaction of the leaders of the party and the opposition is coming out on this decision of the government. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has welcomed this decision of the central government. He has described it as a historical decision, describing it as a need of time. Mohan Yadav thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi cabinet for this.<\/p>\nMohan Yadav told the Center’s decision historic<\/strong><\/p>\nDr. Mohan Yadav said through a video message, “This is an important decision. This is the biggest decision by any Prime Minister of the country after independence. This is an important step in terms of improvement of old events in the country. This decision of the cabinet will begin a new era of equality, harmony, ease and social justice.”<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister said, “For decades, many parties opposed caste census. Caste census will not only be figures but will play an important role in changing the lives of poor, backward, weak and deprived sections of the country.” The CM blamed Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party for not being caste census so far.
The ongoing demand for ethnic census since independence<\/strong><\/p>\nOn Wednesday, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had briefed the cabinet meeting and said that the government has decided to conduct ethnic census with the upcoming census. Actually, the demand for caste census in the country has been going on since independence. The previous ethnic census took place in the year 1931 during the British rule. However, castes were also calculated in the 1941 census, but the government did not make its figures public. At the time of the 2011 census, there was a loud demand.<\/p>\n
What is ethnic census?<\/strong><\/p>\nCaste census means different counts of people of all castes in India. That is, whenever there is a census in the country, it will also be counted on the basis of caste of people. Although even before this, there has been ethnic count in the country, but only the figures of scheduled castes and tribes were counted and published.
