Till now you must have heard that a stand will be made in the stadium in the name of a legendary cricketer or a great person associated with cricket, but have you ever heard that the stand named after the legendary captain of India will be removed from the stadium? Obviously you may not have heard, but now it is going to happen. India will be removed from the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, the name of captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who won more than 100 international matches. Hyderabad Cricket Association i.e. SichA has received its order.<\/p>\nHCA has also been asked to ensure that no tickets are printed in the name of Azharuddin. According to Cricbuzz, this order was passed by HCA’s Ethics Officer and Lokpal Justice V. Ishwariah on Saturday. Indeed, Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad’s North Pavilion Stand has a stand named Mohammad Azharuddin. Lokpal was taking action on the petition filed by Lord’s Cricket Club. He ordered that it is a case of conflict of interest, as former Indian captain and former HCA president Azharuddin has taken a personal decision in his favor.<\/p>\n
Justice V. Ishwariah said in his 25 -page judgment, “The fact is that there is no objective support\/amendment of the decision by the General Assembly, which further strengthens the case against the defendant number 1 (Azharuddin), as the defendant number 1 has encroached its right to benefit itself. As a result of my findings, there is a clear case of conflict of interest.” The petitioner had requested the Lokpal to dismiss the ‘tyrannical’ step of Azharuddin to name the North Stand Mohammad Azharuddin stand and it should be continued as the WS Laxman stand for all practical purposes, including signage, ticket printing, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
