If they do not appear on May 5, they will have to arrest and present it in the court. The Lokayukta police have filed an appeal against the accused who were convicted in the Municipal Corporation&#8217;s water supply scam, in which 8 accused were present, but the then Municipal Corporation Commissioner has not attended.<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>Court sentenced three accused<\/strong><br \/>The Special Sessions Court ruled on 29 November 2021 in the case of scam in the Municipal Corporation&#8217;s Water Supply Department. The court sentenced three accused. The then corporator Vivek Singh, KK Srivastava, RK Batra, Kushal Sharma, Hari Singh Khenwar, Satyendra Singh Bhadauria, Mohit Jain, Sunil Gupta, Rajat Jain were convicted. An appeal has been filed in the High Court against this order. The High Court has accepted the appeal for hearing, issuing notice and summoned the accused.<\/p>\n<p>Advocate of Lokayukta Police Sushil Chaturvedi said that the trial court has not seen evidence and testimony. The corporator had transferred his rights, but there was a whole matter in his cognizance. He is also responsible in this entire scam. The trial court has made a mistake in giving the verdict. It should be canceled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the matter<\/strong><br \/>In fact, more than Rs 2 crore was spent in the Municipal Corporation&#8217;s Water supply department in 2004-05. 1805 destinations were created. The payment of Rs 1.69 crore was found in these destinations. Sudhir Kushwaha complained to the Lokayukta. When the police investigated the matter, the scam in the water supply department came to light.
