Pakistan’s Balochistan National Party (BNP) continues to protest against the Government of Pakistan on the 10th consecutive day on Sunday. According to local media reports, the government has threatened that if the party marches in the Red Zone of the provincial capital, strict legal action will be taken against those who violate the law.<\/p>\nThe ongoing protest under the leadership of BNP-M chief Akhtar Mangal has resolved to reach Quetta from Lakpas area of \u200b\u200bMastang on 6 April. Let us know that the deadline for accepting their demands, including the release of Mehrang Baloch, ended at midnight on Saturday.<\/p>\n
According to the Pakistan report, the party has been protesting against the forced disappearance of political activists in Balochistan and the illegal custody of Baloch Sathi Committee (BYC) leaders including Mahrang Baloch for the last 10 days.<\/p>\n
Addressing a press conference in Quetta on Saturday, Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind said that the provincial government held talks and proposed that BNP-M would be allowed to visit Shahwani Stadium on Sariab Road.<\/p>\n
However, the party does not agree with this decision of the government and wants to perform in the Red Zone, but the government refused to accept their proposal and warned of strict action on violating the city’s red zone. Meanwhile, BNP-M accused the government of adopting an aggressive strategy and said that the security forces have surrounded their leaders Mangal and the people present in the sit-in demonstration.<\/p>\n
Mangal wrote on X, “We are currently posted in Luckpas, which is completely surrounded by security forces. There is a big operation against us. I appeal to all the districts to immediately close all the national highways in protest. Let the world see this injustice.”<\/p>\n
He said, “We are peaceful but firm. Whatever will happen today, its results, bloodshed, results, its responsibility will be completely on the government and local administration.” The BNP-M picket continued on the outskirts of the outskirts of Mastang, as before this, three rounds of negotiations between the BNP-M leaders and the provincial government were over.
