Korba<\/strong><\/p>\n

Government company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) announced on Friday that the company has received an order of Rs 11,800 crore for thermal power plant from Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company (CSPGCL). The company stated at the stock exchange that it has received a letter of introduction (LOI) for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) package of 2 \u00d7 660 MW Korba West Supercatical Thermal Power Plant (STTP).<\/p>\n

BHEL will supply advanced supercratical equipment including tributaries as well as boilers, turbines and generators<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company said that under this contract, BHEL would supply tributary equipment including assistant systems as well as boilers, turbines and generators. The company will also manage electrical systems, control and instrumentation (C&I) and Balance of Plant (BOP) packages. BHEL is also responsible for the construction of this plant. This new thermal plant can begin in the next 60 months.<\/p>\n

BHEL shares saw a boom<\/strong><\/p>\n

BHEL gets the company’s capacity in the power sector of India, getting the thermal power plant more than Rs 11,000 crore. After this announcement, BHEL shares witnessed a rise and it was 1.79 percent gained at 217.80 in the afternoon trading. The stock has increased by more than 22 percent in the last one month.<\/p>\n

BHEL also won a contract of Rs 6,200 crore from Damodar Valley Corporation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last week, the company received an order of Rs 7,500 crore for EPC package at 1 \u00d7 800 MW Ukai Extension Unit 7 in Tapi, Gujarat from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GESCL). Last month, BHEL received an order of Rs 6,700 crore from Singreni Collaries to set up an 800 MW thermal power unit in Telangana. During the same month, BHEL also won a contract of Rs 6,200 crore from Damodar Valley Corporation. These consecutive large orders have greatly promoted the order book of BHEL, which has increased to Rs 1.6 lakh crore by the end of the third quarter of FY 2025.<\/p>\n
