The police gave this information on Tuesday. The dismissed personnel were associated with different branches of the police force.<\/p>\n<p>According to a Punjab Police official, more than 100 police officers and employees have been removed from their posts when they were found to be absent from duty on several occasions during the Champions Trophy, while many others refused to perform their assigned works. He said, &#8220;Police officers were appointed to provide security for teams traveling between the hotels specified from the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. But they either remained absent or they refused to take their responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>The official said that IGP Punjab Usman Anwar has taken cognizance of the case and ordered strict action against the policemen concerned.
