Millions of devotees are reaching Kumbh daily, and Indian Railways play an important role in ensuring their easy visit.<br \/>For the success of this grand event, \u20b9 5,000 crore railway works have been done in the last 3 years, including advanced railway stations, operating more than 13,000 trains, and state -of -the -art mob management systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Great railway operations for Mahakumbh 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Train diversion and uninterrupted journey<br \/>All freight trains have been diverted in the freight corridor (DFC), so that passenger trains can be given priority.<br \/>200 rakes (engines on both sides) are deployed, so that shunting operation is not required.<br \/>Unprecedented railway services<br \/>The operation of 13,000 trains has been employed by 26 February 2025, out of which 12,583 trains have been run by 16 February 2025.<br \/>Shikhar pilgrim traffic:<br \/>\u2022 Transport of 3.09 crore devotees from 13 January 2025 till now.<br \/>\u2022 Operations of 18.48 lakh on February 16 and 18.60 lakh passengers on 17 February &#8211; the busiest routine ever.<br \/>\u2022 Other important dates:<br \/>    February 15 &#8211; 14.76 lakh passengers<br \/>   February 12 &#8211; 17 lakh passengers<br \/>   January 30 &#8211; 17.57 lakh passengers<br \/>    29 January &#8211; 27 lakh passengers<br \/>    January 28 &#8211; 14.15 lakh passengers<br \/>   January 14 &#8211; 13.87 lakh passengers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special arrangements for the convenience of passengers<\/strong><br \/>Corrected infrastructure<br \/>Second entrance gates were built at 9 railway stations.<br \/>48 platforms and 21 -foot over bridge (FOB) for ease of passengers.<br \/>1186 CCTV cameras installed in pilgrimage area, for better monitoring.<br \/>23 permanent holding area for mob management.<br \/>Announcements in 12 languages \u200b\u200bin major stations (Prayagraj, Naini, Chhiwki, and Subedarganj).<br \/>Ticketing arrangements<br \/>554 ticketing counter, including 151 mobile UTS ticketing points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Major railway infrastructure improvement<\/strong><br \/>Indian Railways has invested a large -scale infrastructure for Mahakumbh:<br \/>Major railway projects at a cost of 3,700 crores:<br \/>\u2022 Banaras-Prayagraj doubling, which includes the new Ganga Bridge.<br \/>\u2022 Phaphamau-Janghai rail doubling, which will increase the capacity of trains.<br \/>Construction of 21 new road over bridge (ROB) and Road Under Bridge (RUB).<br \/>Color-coded navigation system for passengers<br \/>Color-based ticketing and passenger shelter system implemented to give simple identity and guidelines to passengers:<br \/>\u2022 Lal: Lucknow, Ayodhya, Varanasi<br \/>\u2022 Blue: DDU, Sasaram, Patna<br \/>\u2022 Yellow: Manikpur, Jhansi, Satna, Katni<br \/>\u2022 Green: Kanpur, Agra, Delhi<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strong security and mob management<\/strong><br \/>In view of the huge crowd in Mahakumbh, the Railways has implemented extensive security measures:<br \/>Installation of control centers<br \/>\u2022 At station level, division level, zonal level and railway board level.<br \/>Deployment of security forces<br \/>\u2022 13,000 Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.<br \/>\u2022 10,000 GRP and paramilitary forces stationed at important places.<br \/>\u2022 3,000+ running staff for smooth operation of trains.<\/p>\n<p>In Mahakumbh 2025, more than 53 crore devotees have taken a bath so far, and Indian Railways is fully committed to providing them safe, easy and comfortable journey.
