Ujjain<\/strong>
Preparations for Shivnavaratri are in full swing in the Shri Mahakal temple located in Ujjain, a religious city of Madhya Pradesh. Special Puja and Bhasma Aarti will be organized on the day of Shiva Navratri Festival. During this time special crown will also be worn on the head of Lord Mahakal. Special cleaning and painting work is going on in the temple premises. Kotitirtha Kund and Rudrayantra will also be cleaned.<\/p>\nThe festival of Shivnavaratri at Mahakaleshwar temple will begin on 17 February. This new day festival is celebrated in the courtyard of Mahakal. During this time Baba Mahakal gives darshan to his devotees in different forms. According to tradition, after worshiping Lord Chandramouleshwar in the Naivedya room on February 17 in the morning, Shivnavaratri will begin with the worship of Shiva Panchami in Sri Koteshwar and Rameshwar Mahadev Temple near Kotitirtha Kund. During this time, Lord Mahakal will be adorned in different forms for nine days.<\/p>\n
The time of worship has been changed during the Shiva Navratri Festival starting on 17 February at the Mahakal temple. The time of Bhog Aarti has been changed from 10:30 am to 1 pm. Sandhya Puja will also be from 3 pm instead of 5 pm. The time of Bhog Aarti is now scheduled at 1 pm and evening Aarti at 3 pm, which will remain the same for nine days.<\/p>\n
On the day of Mahashivaratri, Lord Mahakal will be worshiped in various ways during the Mahanisha period. On February 27, at 4 am, Lord Mahakal will wear Saptadhan Mukharvind and put a crown made of a quarter of a fruit and flowers on his head. After this, after taking off the sehra from 11 am, there will be Bhasma Aarti in the afternoon once a year. God will be offered to God after Bhasma Aarti.<\/p>\n
