Sports talents of Madhya Pradesh once again performed brilliantly and waved their glory at the national level. The male basketball 3 \u00d7 3 team of the state set a new record by winning the historic gold medal, while the women’s team won the bronze medal. Additionally, Pallavi Jagtap earned a silver medal in the Slalom competition and further strengthened the medal table of Madhya Pradesh. So far, Madhya Pradesh won a total of 23 medals including 11 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze and ensured its place in the top 5 in the medal tally.<\/p>\nSports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang expressed happiness over the historic performance and congratulated the entire basketball team, trainers, support staff and Madhya Pradesh Basketball Association. He greeted the players of Rowing and Salalom for yesterday’s matches.<\/p>\n
Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association President Ramesh Mendola, Secretary Digvijay Singh and Director Khel Ravi Kumar Guptane also congratulated the players for their outstanding performance.<\/p>\n
Madhya Pradesh’s men’s basketball 3 \u00d7 3 team performed a brilliant game and defeated Kerala 22-20 in the final match to capture the gold medal. This is the first time the state team has won a gold medal in a senior national competition.<\/p>\n
The medal winning men’s team included Son Kumar Sharma, Tushal Singh, Surya Pratap Singh and Brijesh Tiwari. In the women’s category too, the team of Madhya Pradesh performed strongly and won the bronze medal by defeating Tamil Nadu’s team 14-12. The medal winning women’s team included Khushi Pal Singh, Mona Goswami, Riya Pramod Khungadkar and Yashika Singhal.<\/p>\n
In the C1 women’s competition, Pallavi Jagtap of Madhya Pradesh earned a silver medal by completing the race in 673.426 seconds. While Gold: Reena Sen (319.262 seconds) of Uttarakhand and Bronze: Doddy Chetna Bhagwati (683.154 seconds) of Andhra Pradesh.<\/p>\n
Women’s Hockey: Madhya Pradesh team defeated Karnataka 4\u20131 in the first match. Male Hockey: Madhya Pradesh and Manipur match 3-3 Drew with a score of.<\/strong><\/p>\nSushil of Madhya Pradesh made it to the finals in the men’s Quadrupal individual match in Rowing.<\/strong><\/p>\nWomen’s Light Fly (52 kg) in boxing: Malika Kulbir Singh (MP) defeated Anjali of Maharashtra 5\u20130 to enter the semi-finals. Women’s Fedar Weight (57 kg): Mahi Amarnath Long (MP) defeated Chandigarh’s Aarti 5\u20130. Mains Heavy Weight (92 kg): Paras (MP) defeated the Sawan of Chandigarh 5\u20131. Women Welter Wet (66 kg): Manju Shantilal Bamoria of Madhya Pradesh could not reach the semi-finals after losing 4\u20131 to Kajal of Uttarakhand.<\/p>\n
