According to the ‘Future of Jobs Report 2025’ published by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Indian employers are far ahead in adopting key technologies. It is preparing to leave behind global rivals in this field. 35 percent of employers are expecting to adopt semiconductor and computing technologies, while 21 percent of employers are expecting quantum and encryption to shift operations.<\/p>\nThe report, released ahead of the WEF annual meeting to be held in Davos on January 20-25, said 35 per cent of employers in India think the adoption of semiconductor and computing technologies will transform their operations, compared to 20 per cent globally. The report said that there has been a surge in demand for AI skills globally, with India and the US at the forefront. In the US, demand is primarily driven by individual users, while in India, corporate sponsorship plays an important role in promoting GenAI training.<\/p>\n
The report also highlighted that increased digital access, geopolitical tensions and climate mitigation efforts will be the primary trends that will shape the jobs of the future by 2030.
