In municipal corporations where the population is three lakh or more, the maximum limit of election expenditure has been fixed at Rs 8 lakh. Where the population is less than three lakh, it has been fixed at Rs 5 lakh.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum expenditure limit has been fixed at Rs 2 lakh for Municipal Council and Rs 75 thousand for Nagar Panchayat.
