Raipur<\/strong><\/p>\nControversy is increasing over the new guidelines of Waqf Board in Chhattisgarh. It will now be mandatory for Imams delivering sermons before Friday prayers in mosques to take prior permission from the Waqf Board if they raise any topic other than religious discourse. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has expressed a sharp reaction against this decision. Owaisi has said that the BJP members of Chhattisgarh government will now teach him Deen, and the Waqf Board has no such legal power. He also said that this violates Article 25 of the Constitution.<\/p>\n
On this, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai’s media advisor Pankaj Jha has given a strong reply to Owaisi’s statement, saying that the Constitution is above any religion in this state. Pankaj Jha challenged Owaisi not to interfere in the affairs of Chhattisgarh.
