On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, this big rejuvenation project of the airport has been approved. It is being seen as an important project for the division. Upgrading the airport will improve connectivity in the area and will also boost economic development.<\/h2>\n

Bilasa Devi Kenwat Airport is now going to emerge with a new identity. The government has approved Rs 5 crore to materialize the new design prepared under the Smart City Project. This revamp will not only increase the capacity and facilities of the city airport. This will also strengthen Bilaspur’s dream of becoming a smart city.<\/p>\n

On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, this big rejuvenation project of the airport has been approved. It is being seen as an important project for the division. Upgrading the airport will improve connectivity in the area and will also boost economic development. Collector Avnish Sharan inspected the airport late on Tuesday evening and also instructed the officials to increase the pace of work. He also took stock of the ongoing work at the airport along with the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and PWD officials. The Collector clearly said that the tender process should be completed in 15 days and all the work should be completed within six months under any circumstances. During the inspection, Airport Director N. Biren, PWD Executive Engineer CK. Pandey and other officials were present.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

New design of smart city will give modern look<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The new design of the airport has been prepared by Smart City Bilaspur, in which special attention has been paid to modern facilities and security standards. Facilities like runway, street isolation way, fire approach road, runway lighting, apron high mast and safety watch tower have been redesigned. The Collector reviewed the progress of all these works and directed the officials to complete the work expeditiously.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What will change in the airport?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Under this project, improvements will be made in many aspects of the airport. The runway will be further strengthened and expanded, which will facilitate landing and takeoff of larger aircraft. Fire safety and apron areas will be upgraded.
