The Congress has objected to Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar campaigning in Vijaypur assembly constituency, alleging that it is against the dignity of the constitutional post. Congress has complained about this to the Election Commission. The election officer said that there is no restriction on this, because the role of the Assembly Speaker is neutral.<\/h2>\n

Congress has raised objection to Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar campaigning in Vijaypur assembly constituency. In its complaint to Chief Electoral Officer Sukhveer Singh, the party said that the Assembly Speaker is a constitutional post and it is not right to campaign for a particular party. BJP has not even made him a star campaigner.<\/p>\n

At the same time, another complaint has been made regarding the ban on suspended officer Ramprasad Gorchhiya from contesting elections as an independent. Told against the dignity of constitutional post<\/h3>\n

Congress’s state election work in-charge JP Dhanopia said in the complaint that the Model Code of Conduct is being openly violated by Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar by campaigning against the dignity of the constitutional post. The Speaker of the Assembly does not belong to any party but remains in a neutral role.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This is the reason why BJP did not include his name in the list of 40 star campaigners for Vijaypur and Budhni assembly by-elections as per his dignity. He should be banned from campaigning.<\/p>\n

More complaints<\/h3>\n

Along with this, Ramprasad Gorchhiya, who is contesting the elections as an independent candidate, should also be banned. He is a suspended government officer. In another complaint, a demand has been made to remove BLO teacher Ramgopal Rawat of Vijaypur assembly constituency by saying that he is a relative of BJP candidate Ramniwas Rawat. A report has been sought in the case of BLO Ramgopal Rawat.<\/p>\n
