The Sensex closed 73.48 points or 0.09 per cent lower at 81,151.27, while the Nifty 50 closed 72.95 points or 0.29 per cent lower at 24,781.10.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h2>Major global signals for today<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Asian Market:<\/strong> Asian markets were in a downward trend on Tuesday after a mixed overnight session on Wall Street. Japan&#8217;s Nikkei 225 fell 1.34 percent, while Topix lost 1.04 percent. South Korea&#8217;s Kospi fell 1.21 percent and Kosdaq fell 2.11 percent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Gift Nifty: <\/strong>GIFT Nifty was trading around 24,800 levels, a premium of about 10 points from the previous close of Nifty futures, indicating a flat start for the Indian stock market indices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>wall Street: <\/strong>The US stock market closed mixed on Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 344.31 points, or 0.80 percent, to 42,931.60, while the S&#038;P 500 fell 10.69 points, or 0.18 percent, to 5,853.98. The Nasdaq Composite added 50.45 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 18,540.01.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Crude Oil:<\/strong> Crude oil prices declined after rising by about 2 percent in the previous session. Brent crude futures for December delivery fell 0.3 per cent to $74.03 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures for November delivery fell 0.41 per cent to $70.27 a barrel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Dollar:<\/strong> The US dollar hit a two-and-a-half-month high on Tuesday, boosted by rising Treasury yields.
