Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) celebrated Hindi Diwas on Monday. The program was inaugurated by Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore. He underlined the importance of Hindi language in the rapidly developing digital landscape. Highlighting the importance of languages \u200b\u200bin shaping culture and identity, Prof. Rai stressed the need to understand the deep connection between language, culture and civilization.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He said that just as culture and civilization are nourished by language, Hindi as a language also plays an important role in preserving and propagating our rich cultural heritage. The foundation of our culture lies in our languages, and Hindi is one of the main languages \u200b\u200bthat hold this cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Prof. Rai said that today’s youth often have individual morality but lack collective social moral guidance. He stressed the importance of imparting these morals and values \u200b\u200bthrough Hindi, which is a medium to guide society and preserve our cultural roots.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He explained the uniqueness of Hindi, saying that the language is written exactly as it is spoken. Hindi has absorbed words and influences from many other languages, making it a rich and adaptable medium. He praised Hindi for its ability to guide people, provide clarity and knowledge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Prof. Rai emphasised the need to guide society, culture and the nation by incorporating the knowledge found in Indian languages \u200b\u200binto our lives. He urged everyone, even those unfamiliar with Hindi, to try to speak and preserve it along with all other Indian languages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He said that Indian languages \u200b\u200bare essential to keep the nation united. Conversing in Indian languages \u200b\u200bhelps connect people and maintain unity. He appealed to treat your language with the same respect and care as your mother, as it nourishes and shapes your identity, just like a mother nurtures her child.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A panel discussion on ‘Digital Age of Media and Hindi Journalism’ was held at the event. It included Brajesh Kumar Singh, Panini Anand and Rajesh Upadhyay. The session was conducted by Prof. Himanshu Rai.
