Delhi High The court has refused to give speedy hearing to the petition to ban the release of the film The Taj Story starring actor Paresh Rawal. What has been alleged?
The petition has alleged that the film distorts historical facts and poses a threat to communal harmony. The petition filed by lawyer Shakeel Abbas said that the film, which will be released nationwide on October 31, is based on fabricated facts and has been made with the intention of creating communal unrest among different communities in India.
The PIL states that the teaser and promotional poster of the film shows the dome of the Taj Mahal being raised, due to which the figure of Lord Shiva is seen emerging below it. The scene has given rise to public debate and concern over its historical and religious implications.
