On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the payment of scholarship and scholarship to the students of Scheduled Caste, Tribe, Backward Class, Minority and Economically Weaker Section studying in the state’s educational institutions, ashram-hostels and technical and professional courses is now being made online in their bank accounts. Chief Minister Sai transferred scholarships and scholarships worth Rs 84.66 crore online to the bank accounts of 1.98 lakh students of these categories in a program organized at Mantralaya, Mahanadi Bhawan today.

With this initiative, students will get relief from financial problems faced during academic studies. Principal Secretary Bora said that due to these continuous efforts towards good governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, the governance has been made more accountable and transparent than before. Bora said that today, at the hands of Chief Minister Sai, the second installment of scholarship amounting to Rs 79 crore 27 lakh was given to 1 lakh 86 thousand 50 students of ashram-hostels and P.O. An amount of Rs 5 crore 38 lakh 81 thousand has been transferred to the bank accounts of 12 thousand 142 students of Matric Scholarship.
Principal Secretary Bora said that online payment of scholarship and scholarship to students was started for the first time by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai on June 10, 2025. All the Pre operated in the state. Even before the start of the academic session, an innovative initiative was taken by releasing the first installment of scholarship amounting to Rs. 77 crore to the students studying in matriculation hostels and ashrams and the first installment of food assistance to the students studying in post-matric hostels amounting to Rs. 8.93 crore, thus a total amount of Rs. 85 crore was released. Also, in its second phase, on June 17, 2025, scholarship amount of Rs 6.2 crore was transferred online to 8370 students.

Choudhary, Revenue Minister Tankram Verma, School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, Scheduled Caste Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, Tourism Minister Rajesh Aggarwal, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Singh, Commissioner of Tribal Caste, Scheduled Caste and Backward Class and Minority Development Department Dr. Saransh Mitter were also present.
