7 policemen killed in attack in Pakistan
Terrorist attacks are increasing day by day in Pakistan. On Friday, heavily armed terrorists attacked a police training center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. 7 policemen died in this attack. At the same time, 6 terrorists also died. This attack took place on the police training center located in Dera Ismail Khan district, which is located near the border of South Waziristan.
The attack took place on Friday night in Ratta Kulachi area, which is located on the outskirts of Dera Ismail Khan city. According to police, the attackers used heavy weapons and a suicide bomber rammed a truck loaded with explosives into the main gate. The explosion occurred after the truck hit the gate. After this blast the terrorists tried to enter the premises.
The encounter lasted for 6 hours
Dera Ismail Khan police chief Sajjad Ahmed told The Associated Press that about 200 recruits and their trainers were present in the compound at the time. After the attack, there was a gunfight between the police and terrorists for about 6 hours, in which 7 policemen were killed and 13 were injured.
The police statement said that the terrorists opened fire with heavy weapons. A truck explosion at the gate caused a part of the wall to collapse and a policeman died. Shortly after this, terrorists entered the premises in police uniform and started firing with automatic weapons.

Pakistan Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the bravery and sacrifice of the martyred policemen. Responsibility for this attack was initially taken by the banned organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), but later it issued another statement and denied it.
Pakistani Army spokesperson Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary said on Friday that terrorism has increased since 2021, especially in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan. He told in the press conference that Pakistan has conducted thousands of anti-terrorism operations in recent years to end the growing terrorist threat. Till September 15 this year, security forces conducted more than 10,000 operations in which 970 terrorists were killed, while 311 soldiers and 73 policemen were martyred.
