A surprising case has come to light from Porsa area of Chambal region of Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. A painful incident that happened here shocked the people. In fact, an elderly father committed suicide out of shame after his married daughter eloped with her lover. The police have started investigation by sending the body for postmortem.
The matter is of Porsa police station area. Jyoti, daughter of 62-year-old Puran Singh Kushwaha, who lives in Karsadda village here, had her first marriage about three years ago, but that relationship broke six months ago, after which Puran Singh got his daughter married for the second time to Jagdish, a resident of Nawali. Jyoti was coming to her parents’ home with her husband Jagdish, but when both of them reached Porsa market, she told her husband, ‘You bring sweets, I will wait here.’

How did the husband know what was going on in his wife’s mind? The husband was not even aware of his wife’s affair. As soon as her husband left, Jyoti fled from the spot with her lover Harsh Jatav. When Jyoti’s husband brought sweets, his wife found him there, tried to search here and there, but when she could not find him, she informed her father-in-law Puran Singh. Puran Singh was shocked by the news of his daughter absconding with his wife. This action of his daughter and the fear of being defamed in the society shook Puran Singh to the core. Hurt by this, he committed suicide by hanging himself at home late at night.

As soon as information about the incident was received, Mahua police station reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem. Police have registered an FIR in this matter and started investigation, while a case of missing and kidnapping has been registered against Jyoti and her boyfriend.
A police officer said that the daughter of deceased Puran Singh eloped with her lover after her second marriage. Saddened by this, Puran Singh committed suicide by hanging himself. The police is investigating the entire matter and the search for both the boyfriend and girlfriend is going on.
