Officials brainstorm on CM Mohan Yadav’s vision document, emphasis on delivering government policies in every district

The first session of the second day of Madhya Pradesh Collectors-Commissioner Conference focused on the importance of dialogue in good governance. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain stressed the importance of providing correct and adjusted information about the policies, schemes and programs of the government to the general public. He said that transparent dissemination of information is the main basis for establishing the credibility of the government.

Along with this, the district administration should immediately take necessary steps to refute rumours, misinformation and propaganda. This will help in protecting the public interest and also in maintaining the image of the government. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain said that public participation should be encouraged as much as possible in the implementation of schemes and programs at the district level.

Assembly wise vision document released

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav Assembly wise vision documents have been developed on the initiative of. All districts should take its implementation on priority. He said that in the cases coming in Samadhan Online, along with resolving the cases, efforts should be made to remove them by paying attention to the shortcomings in the system. The Chief Secretary said that during the visits of the Chief Minister to the districts, it is the responsibility of the District Collector to inform about the general problems and public expectations of the districts.

The Chief Secretary said that the positive initiatives and success stories of the district administration should be widely disseminated by strengthening the role of public relations officers posted in the districts. Officials of all the departments at the district level should remain in touch with the Public Relations Officer and regularly inform him about the achievements of their respective departments. The District Collector should nominate a senior officer as the nodal officer for coordination between the departments and the Public Relations Officer.

Public participation in implementation of schemes

Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi said that public participation should be encouraged as much as possible in the implementation of plans and programs at the district level. District Collectors should remain in constant touch with social workers, freedom fighters and other eminent persons. This will help in getting information regarding the sentiments of the general public, needs of the area etc. During the visits of the Chief Minister to the districts, it is the responsibility of the District Collector to inform the Chief Minister about the general problems of the districts and public expectations.

Dissemination of schemes through media

Commissioner Public Relations Deepak Saxena, while presenting the activities conducted by the Public Relations Department, said that wide publicity of schemes can be ensured through print, electronic and social media to create positive public opinion. The use of latest technologies has made it possible to make public relations activities more effective and accessible.

He also highlighted the importance of real-time dissemination of accurate and balanced information in disaster or sensitive situations. He said that the department is regularly monitoring the news published and published on print, electronic, social and digital media and giving daily reports to the concerned departments.

Commissioner Public Relations said that the most important link of governance at the field level is the Collector. Be in constant coordination, contact and communication with collectors and media. A time should be fixed for regular briefing with media representatives. Hold formal meetings with collectors and media at regular intervals.

He said that the collectors themselves should take cognizance of the sensitive and negative news going on in print, electronic, social and digital media at the local level. Immediate action should be taken to refute such news or to present the real position and to take appropriate action against those who spread false news.
