Raipur,
The creation of a dabri in Dular Singh farm in Baheradih in Gram Panchayat Jata in Janjgir-Champa district has become a living example of the increase in farming and animal husbandry. Dular Singh has also made this dabri through the MNREGA scheme. The basis of rural life has always been agriculture and animal husbandry, but the soul of both these works is water. If the water system becomes strengthened, then the rural economy itself becomes strong. This thinking has been given the form of Shri Dular Singh.
Before the construction of Dabri, Shri Dular Singh was short of water for irrigation of his fields, due to which only limited crops were able to take. Apart from this, there was always a lack of water for duck farming, fisheries and irrigation of paddy cultivation, in such a situation, through the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA), a dabri construction work was sanctioned on the farm of Shri Dular Singh in Gram Panchayat Jata. Under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Dabri construction work was done on his private land by Shri Dular Singh, a farmer of village Jata. The administrative amount of 2.14 lakhs was approved for this work and its work started on June 2024. In this, 37 labor families got 92,577 wages from the creation of a total of 380 man days. This not only created employment creation but also increased water conservation and agricultural production. Now due to the harvesting of rainwater in Dabri, irrigation of fields is being done smoothly throughout the year. Along with this, he started fisheries and animal husbandry, which also led to the source of additional income.
Mr. Dular Singh says that under the MNREGA scheme, my farming is now being irrigated by the construction of Dabri. With this, I am able to grow vegetables on paddy as well as rams. Rohu and Pangas fish in Dabri 2 kg. Fish seeds have been added. After the fish is 01 kg in the coming month, they will sell in the market, which will bring income. Shri Dular Singh has planted turmeric and sesame crop on the across the bend of his built Dabri, which he will use turmeric and sesame for his house. Fisheries and animal husbandry have led to a significant increase in home income. Gram Panchayat Sarpanch and Employment Assistant said that other farmers of the village have also been inspired by this work. Villagers are now coming forward to build water conservation structures on their land. This dabri construction work has not only prepared the basis of permanent livelihood in the life of Shri Dular Singh, but it has become an excellent example of permanent property building with the purpose of MNREGA.
