Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is also known as ‘Mr. Perfectionist’. He works meticulously on his films and characters and works hard. Even though he has given many blockbusters and huge earning films, the actor also has many such films in his account which proved to be average or flop. This picture of Aamir also did not do much good at Boss Office, in which he was seen in the role of an Inspector.
Aamir Khan was seen in the role of Inspector Shekhawat in the 2013 film ‘Talaash’. Earlier, the actor had also played the role of a policeman in the 1999 film ‘Sarfarosh’. Both these films proved successful at the box office. But, Aamir was not successful in the role of a police officer in the earlier film ‘Baaji’.
The film came 30 years ago
‘Baaghi’ was released thirty years ago on 5 April 1995. It was directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. This was the first time when Ashutosh and Aamir worked together. This was the second film made under the direction of Ashutosh. In this, Mamta Kulkarni, Ashish Vidyarthi, Kunika, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Mushtaq Khan, Raza Murad and Satish Shah also worked with Aamir.
The film was not a hit
In ‘Baaji’, Aamir Khan played the character of an honest inspector named ‘Amar Damji’. The makers of this 30 year old picture were made with a budget of Rs 3.5 crore. Although the film was not a hit at the box office, it was not a flop either. It did a business of only Rs 4.98 crore in India and proved to be average.
Now Aamir will be seen in this film
Aamir Khan was last seen on the big screen in the film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. This picture, which was released in June this year, was successful in earning huge money at the box office. Now the actor will be seen working in the biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke, known as the ‘Father of Indian Cinema’. Rajukmar Hirani will direct this picture of Aamir.
