Perfume bottle becomes troublesome, danger of being deployed on Indian-age person

An Indian -origin person in America has demanded to restore his visa. The person’s visa was in danger due to a mistake by the police and the crisis of being deployed on them was looted. Kapil Raghu, a person of Indian origin living in the state of Arkansas, USA, has demanded to restore his US visa, as he was arrested by the police mistake.

The police had accidentally considered an illegal drug of perfume with an opium -labeled perfume labeled in his car. The incident occurred during a regular traffic investigation in May, after which Raghu was arrested and sent to the Deity Center of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Now his lawyer told that he is in danger of Departation.

Drugs understood perfume bottle

Raghu is married to an American citizen. He was in the process of getting a permanent residence (green card), on May 3, the Benton police stopped him due to a minor traffic violation. During the investigation, the police found a small bottle in his car on which Opium was written. The police accepted that there is a banned drug. Raghu explained several times that he is just a designer perfume, but still he was arrested on suspicion of keeping drugs.

Raghu was working for food delivery at the time of arrest. He told the local newspaper that he was following all the rules and was surprised by the arrest.

Crisis on visa

Arkanses State Crime Lab found in the investigation that the bottle had only perfume, not Opium. Despite this, Raghu was kept in the county jail for three days, where officials said that his visa was over. According to his lawyer Mike Laux, it was an administrative mistake.

After this, Raghu was sent to the federal immigration center in Luijiana, where he was detained by ICE for 30 days. On May 20, the district court rejected the drug charge, but by then Raghu’s visa was canceled, which made his legal status very difficult.

Advocate Laux said, “According to my understanding, now Kapil is in the deployment status – that is, at any small mistake, even after breaking the rules of crossing the road, he can be immediately deported.” He further said, even the worse thing is that in this situation he cannot work, due to which the financial condition of the family has deteriorated.

Appeal for visa

Raghu wrote a letter to the Legal Office of ICE last week. In this, he told that the problem related to the visa was due to not submitting the documents on time on behalf of his former lawyer. Now they are demanding to restore their visa through legal process. The Homeland Security Department, which monitors the Ice, has not commented on the matter. Raghu told that his wife Alhley Mays are planning to go to another country.

Advocate Loux said that the Benton police violated both law and policy, as they did not inform the Indian consulate after the arrest, while it is necessary to do so under the Vienna Treaty.

Facing financial troubles

Raghu’s wife Meee told that this incident has shocked his family mentally and financially. Both of them married in April. She is now doing three jobs so that they can fulfill the expenses.

Meee further said, it was just a perfume, now if a police car comes behind me, I get nervous. Earlier this used to happen, but now I am scared all the time.
