In the election committee meeting, there was a churn in the name of the candidates in the winning seats of the BJP. In the meeting, the functioning of BJP’s sitting MLAs, feedback received from the ground was also discussed. In the meeting, along with the performance of the sitting MLAs and the possibility of winning, the new application and claim in those seats have also been discussed.
According to sources, this time the party can cut the tickets of more than one third of its MLAs in the election. According to the information, in the discussion that has been done so far, 21 out of the current 80 sitting MLAs can cut tickets. Public resentment behind the ticket cutting of these MLAs, anti -incumbency, growing age, rhetoric, opposition to leaders of party and allies, allegations of corruption, preference to youth, electoral and ethnic equations. There are reasons like poor behavior with workers.
