State level youth poet conference organized on the holy land of Prabhu Shri Ram and Mata Shabari’s holy land

In a state -level youth poet conference held last night with the aim of giving new energy to the literary, cultural and artistic traditions of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai bowed down to the holy land of Prabhu Shri Ram’s Nanihal and Mata Shabri and said that the land of Chhattisgarh is always carrying literature and culture.

Chief Minister Sai said in his address that Mahakavi Kalidas composed the immortal poetry like Meghdoot on this earth, while Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh and Padumlal Punnalal Bakshi made famous writers like this soil. He also remembered his former parliamentary constituency Raigad’s well -known music emperor Raja Chakradhar Singh.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this innovative effort of Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission and Sports and Youth Welfare Department is an excellent medium to encourage the art, literature and creative talents of the state. He said that the state government is providing opportunities for young writers, creators and artists to move forward continuously.

Chief Minister Sai congratulated the three winners selected from division level competitions and said that through this platform, young poets will get guidance from the famous poets of the country, which will give new direction to their creative development.

Addressing the program, Deputy Chief Minister and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Arun Saw said that this conference is not only a competition, but an opportunity to inspire young poets. He said that the art and culture of Chhattisgarh has been rich since the beginning – songs are sung here on every occasion from human life to death.

Giving examples, he said that when the time of sowing comes in the fields, the melodious sound of Dadaria echoes throughout the atmosphere. There is a unique tradition of diverse instruments, songs, dances and folk arts. Shri Saw said that this state has been the work place of saints, mahatmas and poets, from where the society has always got a new direction. Wishing the bright future of young poets from all over the state, he called upon them to bring positive changes in the society through their compositions.

At the conference, the country’s prestigious poets Shashikant Yadav, Dinesh Bawra, Neelotpal Mrinal, Kavita Tiwari and Manu Vaishali mesmerized the audience with their vigorous and emotional poems. The entire auditorium resonated with the thunderous applause.

State talents got respect
In the state level youth poet competition, Nidhi Tiwari of Bilaspur district finished first, Meera Mridu got second place and Alisha Sheikh of Korea district got third place. Chief Minister Sai honored all the winning participants and wished them a bright future.

Higher Education Minister Tank Ram Verma, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Skill Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agarwal, MLA Motilal Sahu, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, Chairman of various commissions and divisions, public representatives, litterateurs, poets and a large number of listeners were present on the occasion.
