20th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana continues: 606.94 crore rupees reached bank accounts of 65 lakh women

The Mahtari Vandan Yojana launched under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Modi’s guarantee’ has brought new lights in the lives of the sisters of Chhattisgarh. This scheme is not only economic cooperation, but a historical step to increase women’s confidence and self -reliance. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said this today, while transferring an amount of Rs 606 crore 94 lakh as the 20th installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to 64 lakh 94 thousand 768 beneficiaries of the state from the land of Mai Danteshwari on the occasion of Bastar Dussehra and Muria Darbar in Jagdalpur.

Union Minister Shah said that Prime Minister Modi ji dreams that every woman should become strong and self -reliant and should participate in the social and economic development of the country. He said that the transparency and commitment with which the Chhattisgarh government has implemented this scheme is a perfect for the whole country. This scheme will prove to be a strong foundation for sustainable development and women empowerment of the state in the coming years.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is communicating new energy of confidence and respect in the lives of the sisters of Chhattisgarh. This gift, which received as the ‘guarantee of Modi’ of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, is not only giving financial support to the women of our state, but is also giving them a new identity in the society and family by making them self -reliant. The Chief Minister said that our government’s priority is that every woman of Chhattisgarh becomes strong and became a partner of equality in the journey of development. He said that this achievement is a proof of Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to make women financially strong and self -reliant. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana has not only given the means to meet the domestic needs to the women of the state, but have also given them an opportunity to live with self -respect and economic freedom in the society.

It is noteworthy that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, called a revolutionary initiative towards women empowerment, started on 1 March 2024. The objective of this scheme is to make married women above 21 years of age and make them self -sufficient by providing financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month. So far, a total of Rs 12376 crore 19 lakh was given to the beneficiary women in 19 installments of the scheme. Today, with the release of the 20th installment, this figure has increased to more than Rs 12983 crore 13 lakh.
