The state level chess competition in Chhattisgarh will be organized from 11 October to 13 October 2025 in the community hall in Jashpur. This competition is being organized by District Chess Association Jashpur under the Silver Jubilee Festival of the establishment of Chhattisgarh. A total of more than 2 lakh 51 thousand rupees cash prize and attractive trophy will be distributed in this tournament.
According to the information received from the organizing members FA Harsh Sharma and SNA Anil Sharma, the inauguration ceremony of the competition will be held on October 11 at 9:30 am and it will be concluded on 13 October at 4 pm. The players involved in the competition will also be provided a trophy with cash prizes of 31 thousand, 21 thousand and 11 thousand rupees respectively for the first, second and third place.
This state level competition will have five major classes for players, including under-09, under-11, under-13, under-15 as well as senior players and disabled participants. Apart from this, special awards have also been placed for the best female player, best Jashpur resident player and Best Surguja Division Player. Cash prizes and trophy will be given to each category winners.
Entry fee and registration process
The entry fee for the participants of Jashpur district has been fixed at only Rs 100, while for the players of other districts this fee is Rs 500. Annual registration of Chhattisgarh State Chess Association is mandatory for all participants, in which Rs 75 will be charged for Jashpur and Rs 150 for other districts. First 50 male and 30 female players will be provided free dormatry housing. Apart from this, clean and nutritious food at the competition site will be available at discounted rates.
