A big fraud of ration cards has emerged in Chhattisgarh. In this, Raipur Rajdhani is first with 19,574 fake ration cards and Durg is second with 18,112. Investigations of data prepared under the One Nation One Ration Card Scheme revealed that more than 46 lakh members are suspicious.
Among them, a large number of families who added duplicate Aadhaar cards, names of dead persons and fake documents to the ration cards. In the physical verification campaign launched by the Food Department, 1 lakh 93 thousand 67 fake members have been identified and their names have been cut. The department believes that this action is very important for making the ration distribution system transparent and preventing forgery.
District wise picture, Raipur on top
In Raipur, 19,574 fake members have been exposed in Raipur. 18,112 in Durg, 17,529 in Janjgir-Champa, 17,327 in Rajnandgaon and 16,064 in Korba are also among the top districts with disturbances.
A large number of names were removed in Surguja 15,626, 13,833 in Balodabazar, 13,308 in Mahasamund, 10,937 in Dhamtari and 9,987 in Kawardha. On the other hand there were 7,027 districts in Gariaband and 7,669 in Kanker where relatively few fake members were found. In Jashpur, 9,727, Balod 8,925 and Bemetara 8,641 also revealed disturbances.

53 thousand names will be removed now
According to the investigation team, the investigation of about 53 thousand suspected members is yet to be investigated. These include the deceased, migrated people and members associated with fake documents. Names will be canceled after their verification.

How to investigate
The Food Department has instructed all the districts that the families whose e-KYC has not been completed should be done in the house to do physical verification. For this, Patwari, Panchayat Secretary, Rural Agricultural Extension Officer and ASHA workers have been given the responsibility. If a member is found wrong or ineligible, his name is being removed immediately. The department aims to complete the verification of all districts by 31 October.
