Rinku Hooda is also very happy with his performance and said that now his goal is to win a gold medal in the 2028 Paralympic Games. Rinku became the champion in the men’s Bhalafenk F-46 event with 66.37 meters. At the same time, his compatriot player Sundar Singh Gurjar won a silver medal with 64.76 meters.
Rinku Hooda of Rohtak, while performing brilliantly at the World Para Athletics Championship, has illuminated the name of the gold medal district. This competition is being held in Delhi. Rinku’s elder brother Anuj said that in 2003, Rinku slept there after working in the field. During this time, the fan that separated the straw from paddy fell on his left hand. The fan petals got stuck in the petals and separated from the body. After this, he was informed about the para shells. Then in the year 2013, Rinku was associated with Para Games. Rinku used to play cricket before losing his hand.
Anuj said that in the year 2014, the first competition was played in Panchkula at the state level. In 2015, a bronze medal in the National Games held in Gandhi Nagar Gujarat. At the age of 16, the first participated in the 2016 Paralympic Games and finished fifth. The family was supported in this struggle journey of Rinku. Rinku is a resident of Dhamar village in the district.

Rinku won the gold medal at the 2019 National Para Games and finished fourth in the World Championship Dubai. Won gold medals in the National Para Games in the years 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. The 2023 Asian Para Games won the silver medal and the silver medal in the World Championship.
Dream is like coming true
After winning the gold medal, Rinku said, this is my first competition in India. I felt good on the field and winning gold with the World Championship record is like a dream come true. Today was my day, so everything was in my favor. What I did was a new experience for me. My attempt is now on making my performance better.
Lost left hand in childhood
Born in a farmer family of Dhamar village located on the outskirts of Rohtak, Haryana, Rinku’s left hand was trapped in a paddy sowing machine while playing in the field. Although he does not remember about this incident because he was very young at that time, but his parents told him about it at the age of eight.

Rinku Hooda is very popular in his village and this is the reason why his family, friends and a large number of people from Rohtak reached to see his competition after traveling for three hours. Rinku said, I was very encouraged by the presence of family and friends in the audience. The good thing is that I could live up to his expectations.
Athlete made like this
Rinku’s uncle Wazir Singh told how Rinku became athlete. He said, when Rinku was a victim of the accident, we were all sad. He started being unhappy and used to throw stones in the lake in front of the house in free time. I saw that he was throwing stones very far, so I thought why not put it in athletics. After this we sent it to Rohtak Stadium at the age of nine. Rinku’s journey to become an athlete started from here.
