According to the provision of Section-6 of Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Act 1993 and the instructions of the Government Panchayat and Rural Development Department, the gram sabha will be organized on 02 October 2025 in all the gram panchayats and their dependent villages of Manendragarh-Charamiri-Bharatpur district. In addition to the scheduled dates on 23 January, 14 April, August 20 and 02 October, gram sabhas are held every year in June and November. District Panchayat CEO Smt. Ankita Som Sharma informed during the time limit meeting that instructions have been given to paste posters at each Gram Sabha place to ensure the publicity of Gram Sabhas to be held on October 02.
He informed that in the Gram Sabha proceedings, many topics including income review of the panchayat, progress of schemes, status of MNREGA works, social audit, food distribution, birth-death and marriage registration, prevention of seasonal diseases, panchayat tax fixation, control of accidents from stray cattle and panchayat advanced index (PAI) score will be discussed. Along with this, HIV/AIDS awareness, Agristack Portal Registration for Paddy Protection, Child Marriage Free Chhattisgarh Abhiyan, National Nutrition Month 2025 and International Cooperative Year have also been included in the agenda.
This time in the Gram Sabha to be held in the Gram Sabha, the report on the implementation of the resolutions passed in the Gram Sabha, review and approval of the last quarterly income and approval, the status of the works sanctioned from the last year’s schemes, the review of employment demand and availability under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and the list of upcoming works will be recited. Under the Social Assistance Program, social audit of pension schemes and verification of beneficiaries, distribution of food grains for needy persons and reading of list of beneficiaries, information related to birth-death and marriage registration, prevention of seasonal diseases and discussion on medical facilities will also be part of this meeting.
In the gram panchayats, the use of the Panchayat portal capable to make taxation and collection online and considering the tax rate for the current financial year, reading of accounts and outstanding information from panchayat officials and officers/employees, effective arrangements for the prevention of accidents caused by cattle on the roads of the state, passing public awareness and resolution will also be discussed. Also, Panchayat Unnati Index (PAI) 1.0 will also be shared to improve the results of transparency, accountability and participation scheme to improve the results.
Other departmental agenda will discuss the reasons for HIV, rescue measures and information about HIV/AIDS Act 2017, encouraging pregnant women for HIV and syphilis check. In Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26, the action related to registration in Agraistack Portal and Integrated Farmers Portal for the sale of paddy at support price, action will be taken to read the gram-wise paddy and farmer-wise digital crop survey and Girdawari details and to conduct the action in Panchayat Bhawan. Along with this, there will also be discussion on the child marriage -free Chhattisgarh campaign, National Nutrition Month 2025 organized from 17 September to 16 October, the Ministry of Cooperatives, Ministry of Cooperation, to celebrate the year 2025 as an international cooperative year and to connect with the prosperity initiative from cooperative and joining the maximum number of maximum number of cooperatives.
A maximum of 15 minutes video of the decisions taken in the Gram Sabha will be uploaded in the “Gram Sabha Decision” mobile app. The AI based details of the minimum 10 panchayats of the district will be prepared using the “Samasar” portal developed by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India. Also, the activities of Gram Sabha will be ensured 100 percent uploading on Vibrant Gram Sabha Portal (https: @@ Meetingonline-in) and GPDP portal. According to local requirements, additional subjects will also be included in the agenda of this Gram Sabha according to the local requirements by the Collector, District Panchayat, District Panchayat and Gram Panchayat.
