The University Grants Commission (UGC) has included 10 private universities of the state in the category of defaulters. It has three private universities from Bhopal.
The UGC has issued a notice to all universities clarifying that private universities had to submit certified documents in the fixed format within the time limit, but many universities did not complete this process even after the scheduled time has passed.
Considering this as serious negligence, the Commission has issued a show cause notice to all. The UGC says that private universities have to submit certified documents in the format fixed every year.
This includes details related to admission, recognition of degree, educational activities and faculty conditions, but these universities did not do so.
The UGC examined the official websites of the universities. It was found that many universities are not updating their website on time.
There were no curriculum, recognition, faculty, fee structure and administrative details available. The UGC has warned that if the university still does not follow the rules, then big action will be taken against them.
In this, steps can be taken from cancellation of university recognition to prevent admission process. This has stirred up private universities. Many universities are now preparing to update their website and documents in a hurry.
