After Raipur, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) from Korba has arrested Naxalite Rama Icha. He works in the coal mine and is connected to many labor organizations. The connection of Naxalite Rama is to Jaggu Kursam alias Ramesh and his wife Kamla Kursam, caught in Changorabhatha.
Jaggu was constantly changing the hideout
Jaggu and the people living in contact kept changing their hideouts. He did not live in any one place for more than three months. Leaving work, he would go back to Bastar and come from there and find a new hideout. He held many big Naxalites in the slum areas of Raipur and helped them.
He was constantly in touch with both of them and has also come to Raipur to meet them many times. Jaggu has also gone to Korba to meet him with his wife. Money has also been transacted between them. The SIA produced Rama in Bilaspur NIA Court on Saturday evening. From there, he has been taken on remand for questioning. After technical investigation, two more people have been detained and they are being questioned. But he has not been arrested.
Naxal couple arrested from Changorabhatha
In a joint action of SIB, SIA and DD Nagar Police, a couple were arrested on the night of 23 September in Changorabhatha. They have been identified as Bhairarangdar Divisional Committee Member (DVC) Jaggu Kursam alias Ramesh (28) and his wife Area Committee Member Kamla Kursam. Both are active Naxalites and have been living in Raipur for the last three-four years.
Jaggu remained from guard to wages
Initial investigation has revealed that Jaggu has worked as a security guard in some houses. He has also worked in poultry farm for some time. After this, he started working in the houses and buildings under construction. He continued to change his work and whereabouts. He also lived in Changorabhatha, Raipura, Amleshwar, Birgaon, Urkura and Silatara areas. His movement extends to Bhilai, Bilaspur and Korba. There are many people living in the city in contact with him. The police have identified six people, one of whom has been arrested from Korba.
