Former Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli’s troubles increased
The temporary government of Nepal has banned several prominent people from going out of the country, including former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Those who have been imposed travel restrictions include former Home Minister Ramesh writer, former Home Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi, former head of National Investigation Department Hosraj Thapa and former Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Chhabi Rizal. This decision has been taken by a committee of 3 members formed to investigate the demonstrations held in Nepal on 8 and 9 September.

Demand for Oli’s arrest

Where are Oli currently?
KP Oli resigned as Prime Minister on 9 September during GEN-Z’s protests. The protesters burnt their residence in Balkot in Bhaktapur. At that time he was at the official residence of the Prime Minister. However, seeing the protest turning violent, he left for a safe place from the PM residence through an army helicopter.
KP Sharma Oli said on September 11 that he has neither gone to Dubai nor China, but currently living in the security circle of Nepali Army in Shivpuri. Oli shared an open letter on Facebook, in which he wrote that they are safe among army soldiers and are remembering children and youth in this silence.
