Oli said this in his first public remarks after resigning as Prime Minister on September 9 amid violent demonstrations against the government over the ban on corruption and social media. Nepal Communist Party (Integrated Marxist-Leninist) president Oli addressed some party leaders and workers at his private residence in Gundu area of Bhaktapur district, saying, “I did not ordered to shoot at Gen-Z protesters during the agitation.”
Who fired on protesters
In his first statement after resignation from the post of Prime Minister last week, Oli said that the protesters were fired with automatic guns, which the police did not have at all. In such a situation, who fired on the protesting people. Oli claims that the incident was carried out under a well thought out conspiracy. He demanded an inquiry into the case.
Had expressed grief over the death of people
Oli said after resigning as Prime Minister on September 9, a large number of people were killed during the arson and violence in the name of Gen-Z protesters. He had said that he is sad to hear the news of the death of the protesters.
Sushila Karki government criticized
Oli criticized the interim government led by Sushila Karki. He has claimed that this government is not formed through constitutional process, but through arson and sabotage. Karki -led interim government was formed on 12 September, which ended the political uncertainty continued for several days after the fall of the Oli government.
We will not run away from the country
The disproportionate Prime Minister demanded that the government provide security to them. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notice on Saturday urging all the parties to help in creating a peaceful atmosphere, not involved in violent and stimulating activities, as the election date has been announced. Nepal President Ramchand Paudel announced that elections in the country will be held on 5 March 2026.
