Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the annual general meeting of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association held at the Circuit House Auditorium in the capital Raipur on Friday. During this time, the meeting was discussed in the meeting and other important agenda including approval of audit report of 2024-25, annual budget presentation and approval of the year 2025-26, appointment of auditor for the year 2025-26.

CM Sai said that there is no dearth of sports talent in Chhattisgarh. Our government is constantly trying to identify and improve these talents. We have resumed the sports decoration ceremony in the past and soon the excellent player honor ceremony will also be started.

New campuses of Khelo India start in Chhattisgarh

Chief Minister Sai said that new complexes of Khelo India have been started in Chhattisgarh. A few months ago, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia also came to Chhattisgarh, where we had a detailed discussion with him about the expansion of the game infrastructure. In particular, we have made special preparations to encourage players regarding the Olympic Games. In the Olympic Games, it has been decided to give three crore rupees to the gold medal winners, two crore rupees to the silver medal winners and one crore rupees to the bronze medal winners. Naturally, this will encourage the players.

Sports budget increased and also participation of corporate sector- Sai

The Chief Minister said that it is our government’s endeavor to increase the budget of sports and also motivate the participation of the corporate sector. In the year 2036, our famous Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed India’s hosting for the Olympic Games and has been proposed to the city of Ahmedabad. Naturally, the Central Government’s entire focus is on strengthening the system of sports in the country, so that within a decade we can emerge as a superpower in the field of sports. Similarly, in Chhattisgarh, we will have to make collective efforts to organize national level sports.

Addressing the program, Cabinet Minister and Union Vice President Kedar Kashyap said that sports competitions like Bastar Olympics have started under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, which has given a golden stage to the sports talents of remote Vananchal.
