On the occasion of the establishment of Chhattisgarh High Court, Governor Ramen Deka said that if justice is also accessible for the village, poor and common people, only then the role of the court in this democratic system will be meaningful. During this, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that with the availability of infrastructure and resources, we are committed to providing timely justice under any circumstances. A souvenir focused on the silver jubilee celebrations was released in the program.

The ‘Silver Jubilee Celebration’ was concluded on Saturday in the main hospitality of Governor Ramen Deka. The guests launched the program by lighting the lamp. The judges of the High Court welcomed and greeted the Chief Guest Governor and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu by offering saplings and souvenirs. Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Saw and Vijay Sharma, Finance Minister OP Chaudhary, Law Minister Gajendra Yadav, former Governor Ramesh Bais were also present on the occasion.

Very respect for me: Governor Deka

On this occasion, Governor Deka said, “It is a matter of great respect and pride for me to address all of you in the silver jubilee celebrations of Chhattisgarh High Court on this glorious occasion. When Chhattisgarh was established as the new state on 1 November 2000, then there was a new beginning in the field of justice as well as the field of justice. Along with the birth of the state, the birth of Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur was also established.

He further said, “Since then this High Court stands as an interpreter of the Constitution, patron of civil rights and a guards of justice.” At the same time, the Governor appreciated the court for the speedy disposal of pending cases under the Lok Adalat. He also spoke of reducing pending cases in the court and providing quick justice to the people. He says that justice is also accessible for the village, poor and common people, only then the role of the court in this democratic system will become meaningful.

This silver jubilee year for us: CM Sai

Governor Deka said that we salute those visionary personalities and founders who laid the foundation of this court. First Chief Justice Justice W.A. Shishak and his heirs gave this court dignity, credibility and strong judicial tradition. Not only this, the loyalty and hard work of Advocate, court officers and employees kept this institution strong for 25 years.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, who was present as a special guest at the ceremony, said that our state Chhattisgarh is also celebrating the silver birth anniversary of its establishment. This auspicious occasion is also of the silver birth anniversary of our High Court. This year is also the silver jubilee year of our assembly. On all these auspicious occasions, I heartily congratulate all of you.

He said that the Chhattisgarh High Court gave a new identity to the city of Bilaspur. On this auspicious occasion, we pay tribute to Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister and our state’s creator Atal Bihari Vajpayee, whose remotely it was possible to establish the Chhattisgarh State and Chhattisgarh High Court.

Technical changes due to PM Modi: CM Sai

Chief Minister Sai said that with the availability of infrastructure and resources, we are committed to provide timely justice under any circumstances. In this connection, we have increased the law and legislative department’s budget by 25 percent last year and 29 percent this year as compared to 2023-24. It is a matter of pride for the entire state that judges like Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Naveen Sinha, Justice Ashok Bhushan, Justice Bhupesh Gupta and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra reached the Supreme Court of the country.

He also said that after the establishment of Chhattisgarh High Court, the tendency towards law profession has also increased among the youth of the state. This is providing new career opportunities. The Chief Minister said that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi implemented the Indian Justice Code by abolishing the punishment code of the British time. During the British, the emphasis of the Indian Penal Code was on punishment. While the emphasis of Indian Code is on justice. It is the endeavor of PM Modi that people have also been included in the new technological changes that have come in accordance with modern times. In this, aspects related to forensic science are very important.

Supreme Court Justice JK Maheshwari said that Chhattisgarh is called a paddy bowl and this grain is taken towards perfection. Where there is religion, there is also victory. Our true karma and thought is religion. Consciousness connects with spontaneous religion. Where we want to keep the judiciary in the next 25 years, it is time to consider and plan. The common man comes with a belief at the door of the court.

Addressing the Silver Jubilee program, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu said that today is not only a celebration of the 25 -year journey of the judiciary, but the honor of the strong tradition of the judiciary which has contributed to the Constitution and the defense of democracy. In the 25 years, the Chhattisgarh High Court has done unprecedented work in simplifying the reach of justice to the general public, ensuring transparency and adopting technology as a revolution.

On this occasion, Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court Ramesh Sinha gave a welcome address. He congratulated and congratulated all the guests and people present in the organic program on the occasion of silver jubilee. He said that the silver jubilee program of Chhattisgarh High Court is definitely a glorious moment for all of us. In the last 25 years, the court has done many excellent work to establish the rule of law. He informed the meeting about the positive changes in achievement and functioning from the establishment of the court till now.
