Pakistan has once again suffered a setback on the Jammu and Kashmir issue. A senior official of the US State Department has said that Kashmir is a direct issue between India and Pakistan and America is not interested in putting pressure between the two countries in this matter. This attitude of the Trump administration may shock Pakistan, as Pakistan has been raising the Kashmir issue on the international stage for a long time.
The official further said that we are leaving it to India and Pakistan. At the same time emphasized that America takes care of the ‘America First’ policy on the issues of India and Pakistan. India has already been advocating this issue to remain bilateral, it is believed that this statement is the effect of India’s pressure.
The official said that America sees India and Pakistan with two different perspectives. Then according to America First policy, they work on what is better for our interests.
Trump already has a lot of issues
At the press conference, the official said that the first issues in front of US President Donald Trump, which he has to solve. But if they are asked for help, then they are ready to help.
However, during his address to the United Nations General Assembly, Trump reiterated the claim of stopping the conflict between India and Pakistan. On this, the State Department official said, “It is true that America was involved in that crisis and it had fully helped in conducting a ceasefire.”
India does not want any third interference in Kashmir issue
India does not want to include any third party in its conversation with Pakistan on issues like terrorism and Kashmir for a long time, because New Delhi believes that it should remain bilateral. Whereas America has been chanting Kashmir from OC to UN. This statement of America is largely in favor of India’s idea.
India-Pakistan conflict and trump claims
India started Operation Sindoor on 7 May in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. After which attacks on India were also carried out by Pakistan, which was also responded to by the Indian Armed Forces bravely. This struggle, which lasted 3 days, was ceasefire on May 10, which was first announced by Trump on his social media.
From May 10, Trump is repeatedly claiming that he has helped reduce the tension between India and Pakistan. India has denied these claims.
