According to sources, the 11th episode of Bigg Boss 19 used two popular songs ‘Chikni Chameli’ and ‘Dhatta Teri Ki’ without taking public performance license. Both these songs are licensed with Sony Music Entertainment India, while the public performance rights of these songs PPL. On this basis, a legal notice was sent to the makers on 19 September.
Show’s difficulties may increase
According to reports, PPL has clearly sought Rs 2 crore as license fee and penalty from the makers (Bigg Boss 19). So far, the makers of the show have not made any official statement on this legal notice. However, after this dispute, the show is feared to be heavy financial burden.
