Every work done above personal selfishness is the work of service and nation building. Volunteers of the National Service Scheme are playing significant participation in nation building. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said this while addressing the state level foundation day and honor ceremony of the National Service Scheme held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur.

Chief Minister Sai said that under the National Service Scheme, more than 4 lakh students across the country are working as volunteers. In our state too, more than one lakh students are actively playing their role, which is a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh. Today, we congratulate the volunteers who are being honored for their best works.

The Chief Minister said that during the freedom struggle, it was believed that it is the national service to cooperate in the freedom struggle. Today, when the country has become independent, the national service means to make its overall contribution in social, economic and cultural development. NSS volunteers are making valuable contribution in this direction.

The Chief Minister, while explaining the form of nation service to the volunteers, said that when we plant a tree, we serve the nation. When we take someone to the hospital, we serve the nation. Financial assistance of someone, cooperation in reading and writing to someone is also a nation service. Every task that we do beyond our personal selfishness is the work of service and nation building. He said that NSS volunteers continue to serve with full enthusiasm and contribute to the promotion of education so that no one is deprived of education.

Chief Minister Sai said that our government is committed to providing employment to the youth. Under the new industrial policy, facilities are being provided to entrepreneurs providing employment in industries. An investment proposals of about Rs 7.5 lakh crore have been received in the last 10 months. This investment will create a large number of employment opportunities.

On this occasion, Higher Education Minister Tankaram Verma said that service is not only to help others, but it is also a medium to shape the spirit of character, thinking and responsibility. The energy and enthusiasm of the youth is the real capital of the society and the nation. The dedication and dedication with which the NSS volunteers are doing service work is a sign of our youth power. NSS volunteers have played an active role in the success of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. He has made significant contribution in many areas including disaster management, environmental protection and health in urban and rural areas.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai released the poster of ‘Dedication’ and developed India Quiz program on the occasion. He also honored the institutions, officers and volunteers doing excellent working institutions under the National Service Scheme.

On this occasion, CSIDC President Rajiv Aggarwal, Secretary Higher Education Dr. S. Bhartidasana, Commissioner Higher Education Santosh Kumar Dewangan, NSS Deputy Program Advisor Dr. Ashok Kumar Shoti, State NSS officer Dr. Neeta Bajpayee, NSS program coordinator of all districts and large number of volunteers from all over the state were present.
