Sapan Mandavi said that he first came to know about this scheme through the newspaper. After receiving the information, he contacted the local electricity department and installed a 3 kW capacity solar rooftop system on the roof of his house. After this initiative, all the electricity requirements of his house are being met and additional electricity is also being produced. Mr. Mandavi said that in the past, electricity bills used to come from 400 to 500 rupees every month, but now their entire bill has become zero. Not only this, the additional energy generated by them is being sent directly to the electric grid, which will give them the benefit of additional income in the future.
Sapan described this scheme as extremely beneficial of the government and said that this can not only make domestic power consumers self -sufficient in terms of energy, but can also become financially strong. Mandavi received a total subsidy of Rs 1 lakh 8 thousand under this scheme, which includes assistance of Rs 78 thousand from the central government and 30 thousand rupees from the state government. With this help, there is a lot of relief in the total cost of setting up solar plants. Remaining areas and areas where electricity is coming very much, such people are getting a lot of benefit of this scheme.
Double grant is getting double grant from governance
Under this scheme, the amount of subsidy has been fixed for various capacity plants. The 1 kW plant, which costs about 65 thousand rupees, on which the central government gives a subsidy of 30 thousand and the state government 15 thousand rupees. Similarly, a grant of Rs 60 thousand is received on the 2 kW capacity plant and a grant of Rs 78 thousand from the Center on the Prime Minister Surya Ghar free power scheme with 3 kW or more capacity. Along with this, loan facility has also been provided for farmers and villagers, so that more people can take advantage of it.
